CLASSROOM PROGRAM FOR SAT

What is the SAT?

The SAT® is a standardized test that measures mathematical, reading and writing skills of students aspiring to undergo their undergraduate studies in India and abroad. The test has 4 sections – Reading, Writing & Language, Math–No calculator and Math-Calculator. It also has an additional optional Essay section. The test intends to aid universities in assessing the potential of applicants for higher education. That is why more than 4000 colleges in US, India and 84 other countries accept SAT scores for admission to their programs. The examination is entirely paper-based and scored on scale from 400 to 1600. However, the SAT® score alone does not guarantee a student’s admission – the test is but one of the many factors taken into consideration during the holistic review of an applicant’s profile.

What is the scoring scale for the SAT?

  1. The Mathematics section is scored on a scale of 200-800
  2. The Critical Reading section is scored on a scale of 200-800
  3. The Essay is scored separately on a scale of 2-8
  4. The entire SAT® test score ranges from 400-1600
